OMG, Liam is just too fluffy and cute! Who's my fluffy puppy butt?!

Err... that embarrassment aside...
Seriously? This character was born when I was being commissioned by this one guy who was never happy with anything I did for him, even though he claimed to love my art so much. I was supposed to draw his fursona for him, but he claimed that the resulting picture made him look "too sexy". (You can see the original drawing here:
[link]). I liked it, so I made some minor adjustments and colored it like I wanted it. The result (shown in the link I provided) was one of my most commented on and favorited submissions at the time. My would-be commissioner came crawling back begging me to sell him the rights to the resulting character. Ha! Not unless he was willing to pay triple digits for it...
And now I have Liam, my fluffy butt cutie head sheltie boy!

haha, good thing your commissioner came crawling back and admitted that he was wrong
Just so I understand: You were to draw his character, which turned out to not be his character, and...he wanted to purchase the intellectual rights to his...own...creation...? Which is, say, I was to commission you to draw, erm, Laiminar, for the sake of argument. You draw him, and, for some reason, your rendition doesn't match my vision, so I say, "Well, could you tweak this?" So you tweak it, then I beg for you to sell me my own creation? I must be missing something.
LOL! What happened was that I was to draw his fursona, and I worked up a sketch based on what little information I was given. He's notorious for not giving enough information to the people he has drawing for him. This was before I required payment before working, too. So, when I showed him the sketch I'd come up with, he got mad because it was "too sexy" for him. Although, I'm told my those who were closer to him than me at the time that he said some much more colorful things about it and me... He rejected the sketch, but I liked it. So instead of finishing it to suit his fursona, I just made some minor alterations to the position of one of the arms. And I think that I may have also changed the tail. The fursona was supposed to be some sort of black and white spaniel. I went with a sheltie instead.
Hopefully that's a little more clear of an explanation.
